Orijen Large Breed Puppy Food

5/5 Quality

3/5 Price

5/5 Approval

This is actually manufactured by Champion pet foods, it’s a very ethical company. They use locally grown ingredients and claim to use free range chicken, wild caught salmon, etc. Orijen is completely approved by my vet, the only thing he said was it was high calorie so Royce needs serious daily exercise if he eats it consistiantly. It is 80% meat, 20% produce and no grain at all. The protein used are chicken, turkey, chicken liver, whole eggs and a variety of fish (I suppose it varies by season). As for how Royce feels about it, he loved it, he ate the whole bowl. Too be fair Royce may be the least picky dog on the planet, he likes to eat dirt… Now for the punch in the gut, the cheapest I found this food for was 70 bucks for a 29 lb bag. That’s intense and that price point is not for everyone but it is the very best.
